Rules for the Inspection of Power-Driven Vehicles for Import and Export- Part 4: Motor Vehicle Products

1 SCOPE

This Part of SN/T 1688 specifies the technical requirements, inspection methods, sampling and pass/fail determination of motor vehicle products for import and export.

This Part applies to the power-driven vehicles which has four or more wheels, which is non-rail, and which is normally used for:

carrying persons and/or goods (objects);

towing vehicles used for carrying goods (objects) or for special purposes;

special services.

This term also includes:

a) the vehicles connected to an electric conductor, for example trolley buses;

b) three-wheeled vehicles without a cab, whose complete vehicle kerb mass exceeds 400 kg;

c) three-wheeled vehicles with a cab, whose complete vehicle kerb mass exceeds 600 kg.
